How Julie thinks about operations, data and AI, in her own words.
Podcast interview · Streamed live, 5 January 2026
How to build AI-ready operations through smarter processes
In conversation with Guillaume Jouvencel
Julie talks about why AI amplifies whatever is already there, so data, processes, people and systems have to line up first. She covers the problems clients bring, how she works through them, and what she sees ahead for consulting.

The seven places work breaks
When Julie maps a process with a team, the problems almost always show up in the same seven places.
None of these show up on an org chart. All of them show up in costs, lead times and people’s frustration. Map one important process end to end and count. Most teams find three or four in the first hour.
Ideas Julie keeps coming back to
AI is a multiplier, not a starting point.
When processes and data are in place, AI creates enormous value. Without that foundation it simply amplifies existing problems.
You don’t fix outcomes. You fix inputs.
What you put into a system determines what comes out of it. AI didn’t change that rule. It exposed it.
Clients don’t ask for a tool. They ask for clarity.
Work gets done the hard way, leaders debate numbers instead of deciding, and the pressure to change arrives faster than the business can absorb.
Prove value before selling promises.
Start with one process and a short first phase. Continue because of results.
