Julie Rosenthal is the founder of EJM Group, a consulting firm that helps organizations run better and grow: clearer processes, trusted data, change programs that deliver, and AI where it pays off.

She has spent more than 25 years where strategy meets execution: inside a global medical technology group, as a strategy manager with a Big Four firm, and as director of strategy for a private equity holding. She has worked with global corporations, private equity portfolios and more than 20 SMEs, across healthcare, life sciences, financial services, logistics and technology. She has lived in the US, Germany, Japan and Australia, and worked across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

Her results come from fixing people, process and data together. At a global medical technology company she raised sales forecast accuracy from 40% to 90% and cut decision cycles from two weeks to one day. In Tokyo she ran a transformation office across finance, HR, sales, IT and operations that delivered 98% of 153 projects in about two and a half years, and cut import costs by about 80%. She has also led global SOX compliance and SAP and Salesforce governance for a regulated medical device company.

A direct view on AI

Know the whole business before you put AI into it. Where a team already owns tools it underuses, Julie helps put them to work quickly. Where leadership wants AI across the company, she builds the strategy on a clear picture of the whole business, so AI doesn’t turn into IT chaos.

Author and advisor

She wrote Sh*t In, Sh*t Out: Align Data, Processes, Technology, and People for the AI Revolution, which sets out her ACE-REACT-FIT framework. She advises AI and HealthTech startups, has served as Vice Chair of an international school’s board, and delivered process and AI-readiness training programs for a European Digital Innovation Hub (EDIH), part of the EU’s digital innovation network.

For smaller companies

Full disclosure: I’m building Mirasent, a platform now in development. Many small and mid-sized companies, up to about 250 people, need the same clarity large organizations pay consultants for, but can’t afford a consulting engagement. Mirasent gives them a structured way to assess and improve their business themselves.

It is a separate company with its own brand. When a Mirasent assessment points to a change too large to run alone, EJM Group is where that work continues. Visit Mirasent
